About

Alvaro Frank is a Ph.D. student at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz. He holds a Bachelor degree in Computer Science from the University of Costa Rica and a Master degree from the German Research School for Simulation Sciences at the RWTH Aachen University. His Master Thesis was supervised at the High-Performance and Automatic Computing group and focused on HPC Algorithms for genetic studies. In the summer of 2014 he conducted an Industry oriented open-source project at the Helmholtz Zentrum München based on his master thesis. Additionally to his research in efficient computing, scheduling and load balancing, he has interests in high performance algorithms for scientific applications.
